Forestier syndrome known as Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis (DISH), with typical findings of ossification and calcification primarily of the anterior longitudinal ligament, which result in osteophyte formation. This is a rare entity and rarely associated with systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus and obesity and occurs mostly in the fifth and sixth decade of life and in males. This, reports a case of a 68 years man having the DISH syndrome with difficult airway and a serious complication of intubation.

Forestier Sendromunun Neden Olduğu Sıradışı Zor Havayolu ve Ağır Bir Entübasyon Komplikasyonu Vakası

Diffüz İdiyopatik İskelet Hiperostoz (DISH) olarak bilinen Forestier sendromu, osteofit oluşumuyla sonuçlanan, esas olarak anterior longitudinal ligamanın tipik ossifikasyon ve kalsifikasyon bulguları gösteren nadir bir sendromdur. Nadiren diabetes mellitus ve obezite gibi sistemik hastalıklarla ilişkilidir. Çoğunlukla yaşamın beşinci ve altıncı dekadındaki erkeklerde görülür. Bu olgu raporu, DISH sendromuna sahip 68 yaşındaki bir erkek vakada zor entübasyon ve buna bağlı komplikasyonları anlatmaktadır.
